How to Make
Savory Shortcrust Pastry for Quiches & Pies
Ingredients:
2 cups (250g) flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup (225g) butter
2–3 tbsp cold water
(Optional: add 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary for flavor)
Instructions:
Mix flour, salt, and herbs. Rub in butter until crumbly.
Add cold water to form dough. Chill 30 min.
Roll out and line pie dish. Blind bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 min.
Fill with quiche mixture (eggs, cream, cheese, veggies, or meat) and bake until set.
