How to Make
Almond Shortcrust Pastry (Sweet Nutty Base)
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups (190g) flour
½ cup (60g) almond flour (ground almonds)
½ cup (100g) sugar
1 cup (225g) butter
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp cold water
Instructions:
Mix flour, almond flour, and sugar. Rub in butter.
Add egg yolk and water, mix to dough. Chill 30 min.
Roll out and bake 12–15 min at 180°C (350°F).
Excellent for lemon curd tarts, cherry pies, or frangipane filling.
